Cookie policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar storage Window Quote Zone uses, what they do and how you can control them.
Last updated: July 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in the same way. We use them to remember how you reached our site so that any enquiry you make is attributed correctly.
Cookies we set
When you land on the site we set first-party marketing attribution cookies, prefixed wml_. These record the campaign and advertising information described below and are also mirrored in your browser’s local storage so attribution survives you moving between pages or returning later.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign, wml_utm_term, wml_utm_content |
Store the UTM campaign values from the link you arrived through, so we know which campaign your enquiry came from. | 90 days |
wml_gclid, wml_fbc, wml_fbp and other advertising click identifiers |
Store advertising click identifiers (for example from Google or Meta) so that a resulting enquiry can be attributed to the correct ad. | 90 days |
wml_landing_url |
Records the first page you arrived on, sent with your enquiry for attribution. | 90 days |
Tag-manager and analytics cookies
We may later enable a tag manager to run analytics or advertising tags. When that happens, those tags can set their own cookies — for example Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_XXXXXXX) that measure how the site is used, or advertising cookies set by Google or Meta. These are only active once tagging is switched on, and this policy will be updated with their details at that time.
Strictly necessary storage
The lead form uses your browser only to hold the attribution values above so your enquiry is recorded correctly. No cookie on this site stores your name, email, phone number or postcode.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking the wml_ cookies will not stop the site working — it only means an enquiry may not be attributed to the campaign that referred you. See your browser’s help pages for how to manage cookies, or aboutcookies.org for general guidance.
For how we use the personal data you submit, see our privacy policy.
